“Weavers Community Fun Day 2015” held on Saturday the 22nd of August 2015 at the Big Pitch Shacklewell St, Bethnal Green E2 7EG. It has been a successful event running for the last three years. It is a truly historical event held for the whole of the Weavers Community and its surroundings.
The event was fun filled with Martial Art Show, bouncy castle, bouncy slide, Tug of War, Face/Henna painting, Competition’s, foods, other sporting activities and challenges.
The event was organised with help from young volunteers of the Weavers Community Forum, an up and coming organisation located at the tip of the world famous Brick Lane.
Each year the event aims to bring the whole community together to celebrate & acknowledge our differences in a multicultural environment.
The event was supported by Tower Hamlets Council & Canary Wharf.
It was attended by 400 + residents including young people, Community leaders, Councillors, youth activist, local businesses and other local charities.
Finally we would like to thank people who have participated and also like to thank our funders, volunteers & well-wishers for their hard work & contribution.
