The catchment area for the Weavers Community Forum is ‘North cluster wards of Tower Hamlets’, a borough marked with economic decline, high-density social housing and a high level of overcrowding. There is also a worrying rise in the number of youths getting involved in criminal activities and drug use. We believe in the power and potential of youth to create solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time. Driven by this belief, our aim is to support young people to create positive changes towards more inclusive, fair, and sustainable communities. We do this by providing skills development, capacity building, mentoring and 1:1 individual plan. Weavers Community Forum has developed our weekly Youth Centre programs to offer a number of important services to primarily young people living in the north part of Tower Hamlets (but also to all young people that engage in our programs). Our youth project tackles some of the issues such as employability, anti-social behaviours (ASB), Obesity, knife crimes and drugs related issues in the area.
Active Youth Project Weekly activities are for ages 12 – 19 years unless otherwise stated
